Vollick McKee has provided Dalhousie University comprehensive landscape architecture, site and master planning services since 2002.

Work has included sitework planning and design of numerous projects including: the redevelopment of the Tupper Building Carleton Quad, renovation of the Hicks Building Upper Quad, reconstruction of Castine Way and Lord Dalhousie Drive, the Robie Street Campus Sign, Coburg Road Entrance Gates, Oceans Excellence Centre, McCain Building, and the new LeMarchant Mixed Use Building.

Other work includes preparation of a Site Concept Plan for the upper campus; identifying and ranking current landscape and site deficiencies and developing plans to correct deficiencies within established budgets and maintenance resources; a phased implementation plan for large-scale landscape projects; development of new campus public transportation facilities; various landscape upgrades including drainage and planting plans; and a “branding” program for site landscape elements, including, signage, furnishings, lighting, paving and other site detailing.
