Cary has over 30 years of practice experience including the master planning, design and construction of sitework for numerous schools, hospitals, commercial and institutional buildings, multi-use developments, parks and recreational facilities. He specializes in integrated site planning and design, detailed grading and surface drainage and the coordination of sitework design with related disciplines for complex projects. Cary was the principal landscape architect of the award-winning waterfront park site of the Bishop’s Landing development, has lead the Master Planning and detailed design for extensive renovations at Saint Mary’s, Dalhousie and Cape Breton Universities. Cary was the principal landscape architect for the multi-phased restoration of the Halifax Public Gardens. He is a past president of the Atlantic Association of Landscape Architects (APALA) and is a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA).
