Vollick McKee was responsible as prime consultant for all Master planning and site design of this tourist gateway to Nova Scotia.
Work included:
• Major site regrading;
• New feature signage on the highway;
• New vehicular access routes, parking areas and walkway surfacing;
• A major promenade structure and interpretive look-off;
• Redesigning a large sunken garden, first developed in 1926, to provide for barrier-free access and to dramatically increase the floral display while reducing maintenance required; and
• Project management.
